| O'WeekIn Orientation Week (O'Week) the AUES has a stall all week on the Barr Smith lawns. This stall is set up to allow new members to sign up to the AUES, help show first year students around the university and also to promote and sell our legendary pub crawl sh irts.

| O'PartyAlso held during Orientation Week, the AUES runs O'Party, an introduction to first year students of Adelaide University culture, in particular how to party. The inaugural event was held in the UniBar in 2009, with a free BBQ, awesome coverband Superdry, and cheap drinks.

| The AUES premier event and biggest pub crawl in the Southern Hemisphere (unofficially the biggest in the world). Over 1850 participants all in the same shirt, drinking around the east end of Adelaide. Stay tuned during O'Week for the theme and schedule.

| The BBQsThere is one BBQ held each term, free for all AUES members. There are free snags, salads, soft drinks, beer and punch! Signing up to the AUES on the day for $5 will allow you to join in with the all-you-can-eat all-you-can-drink BBQ.

| Tug of WarAn event that was not seen at the University for many a year prior to 2005, revived thanks to the vision of Julian O'Shea. The traditional tug-of-war is given a unique AUES twist with the contest taking place on opposite banks of the River Torrens. The river is part of the greater Torrens Lake catchment that runs through central Adelaide. It is known for its algal blooms, horrid smell and general polluted state. In 2009 the event was held on the Barr Smith Lawns due to the reluctance of BBQ-goers to leave the lawns (and their drinks). Competing against the UniSA Engineering Society, the Adelaide University side were the victors, with only minimal cheating. |
| The Quiz NightThe Quiz night is always very popular with students on campus, with tables being booked out well before the event. The night is run like most quiz nights but it is made unique by things such as per-table beer tallies to see which table has the best drinkers.

|  | An opportunity to network with companies over various disciplines in a relaxed atmosphere. The addition of the Careers Night to the AUES Calendar was in 2008, and was a very successful event with 20 companies and 300 students in attendance. Since then, it has become an annual event which keeps improving with time.

| Cocktail NightThe Cocktail Night is an end of year celebration where students can enjoy a range of delicious hors d'oeuvres as well as cocktails, daiquiris and premium beers. Over 200 students attended the inaugural event in 2009, with 2010 planned to be an even bigger celebration.
