Download Guide!

The 2012 Engineering Careers night is the perfect opportunity for upcoming graduates to meet the companies they could potentially be working for one day. Since 2011, the night is has been held earlier in the year than previously to accommodate a greater focus on work experience. If you still haven't done yours or organised it, the night will provide a great chance to get the ball rolling.

Presentations will be held in Horace Lamb and Flentje lecture theatres, the networking stalls will be in Ingkarni Wardli's Atrium. These stalls are a fantastic opportunity to chat with industry leaders, and ask those questions you've been wondering about in a casual, informal atmosphere. Presentations being at 5:15pm, the networking room will open at 6:30pm.

2012 O'Week and O'Party!

Well it's that time of year again, by the end of the month we'll all be back doing what we truly love; sleeping in and watching lectures online. The AUES will be at it's usual spot on the Barr Smith Lawns again (if you're a first-year, or "fresher", we always have plenty of signs to point you in the right direction). This year O'Week is actually only three days, and kicks off on the 20th of February. Your mission for O'Week, should you choose to accept it:

  1. Go to the AUES Tent
  2. Buy a pub crawl top, Membership, and O'Party Ticket
  3. Attend O'Party on Tuesday night, let us see your swagga
  4. ????????
  5. Profit

The Facebook event pages (you do like us on Facebook, right?) for this years Pub crawl, aka 2012:The Alcopocalypse, and O'Party will have all the details you need, and can be found be clicking on the links connected to the respective words earlier in this sentence. Ideally, you should've already seen that was the case and not read this far. Note to self: Edit this part out.

The Pub Crawl page is also a healthy source of information and dietary fibre, and if you're in the mood for some reminiscing coming into the new year, or want to check out if the AUES is for you (Hint: It is), check out the Photos page.

But for now, see you Monday of O'Week!

PUB CRAWL 2012

Planning for the 2012 pub crawl is well underway. In 2011 we sold out of 3000 shirts, so this year we're stepping up to 4000 shirts, plus more venues then ever before. To avoid missing out, make sure to buy yours at O'week.
The pub crawl is on the 23rd of March 2012. All good information can be on the FB event here. Also, key an eye on the Pub Crawl Page, this will have plenty of good info, and will also be your link to pub guides when they are released.

For now, enjoy your holiday and look forward to an exciting 2012.
